ZF 9-speed (9HP48) low-speed jerkiness, hesitation from a stop, harsh 1-2 and 2-3 engagement and erratic gear selection with the electronic push-button shifter. Honda addressed it with successive TCM software recalibrations rather than hardware; early build years are the worst. Only Touring and Elite trims carried the 9-speed until 2021.
