6T70/6T75 3-5-Reverse wave plate fracture. The thin spring-steel wave plate that cushions the 3-5-R clutch apply fatigues and splits, first showing as a flare into 3rd or 5th gear, then loss of reverse and eventually burnt clutch material. GM extended the transmission warranty to 10 years/120,000 miles on affected vehicles.
3.6L V6 timing chain stretch. The original chain design combined with long oil change intervals lets the chains elongate, setting camshaft/crankshaft correlation codes P0008, P0016, P0017, P0018 and P0019, with a rattle on start-up and under acceleration. GM Special Coverage Adjustment 11340 extended timing chain coverage to 10 years/120,000 miles.
LLT direct injection brings high-pressure fuel pump failures and intake valve carbon deposits causing rough idle and misfire.
