5.7L Hemi MDS lifter collapse and camshaft lobe wear, the same oil-starvation mechanism as the LX generation and still present through the end of production.

Transmission 2012-2016 most reported

845RE/8HP 8-speed torque converter clutch shudder, harsh 1-2 shifts and downshift bump, plus mechatronic/TCM faults; several TSBs issued for cold-start shift quality software. Behavior improved materially in later model years.

Electrical 2011-2014

Alternator failure causing sudden stalling and in some cases fire; NHTSA recall 14V-634 covered 3.6L Pentastar vehicles including the Charger.
