5.7L Hemi MDS (Multi-Displacement System) roller lifter failure and camshaft lobe wear. Sludge and varnish restrict the small oil feed passages to the MDS lifters; the lifter roller seizes and wipes the cam lobe, producing the characteristic 'Hemi tick' and eventual misfire.
