Premature valve guide wear in the left (driver's side) cylinder head causes a distinct ticking noise from the driver's side of the engine bay, progressing to misfires on cylinders 2/4/6 (P0302, P0304, P0306) and a check-engine light. Chrysler extended the cylinder head warranty on affected Journeys to 10 years / 150,000 miles from in-service date.
